National Chemical Laboratories Encap products, specifically All In One

July 23 2006 at 12:06 PM
Mr. Haywoode

Has anyone tried NCL's All in One encap product? As it's name implies it's a multi purpose product. Encap, prespray, and in tank extraction agent. The thing that is most curious to me is the dilution ratio of 1.4 oz. per gallon (1:90) for encap and prespray and 1 oz. per gallon (1:128) as an in tank extraction cleaner/encapsulator. Quite concentrated compared to most other products. Is it really very effective at that dilution? I have generally been pleased when I've NCL's tile/stone/janitorial products, they seem to be an excellent value in my locale. I don't have much experience with their carpet care line other than the bonnet cleaner which seemed to be okay, pretty much the same as most others in performance. Just curious as to this new product entry into encapsulation realm, will be curious to hear from folks as to how it compares to Scot Labs and J F Daley's encap products as they are also Jansan generalist manufacturers. Thanks for the info/perspectives fellow carpet cleaners.

Haven't used the product.

I have to contact them for something else tomorrow anyway, so I'll ask the gent who I'll speak with about it. Hadn't heard about it before.

It seems that everyone in the industry is watching "encapsulation". I guess I should have copyrighted the term "encapsulation" when I first used it on the ICS message board a few years back. LOL

Met with the rep today.

They sell directly to distributors, not the general public of end users.

The line of chemicals for carpet care is based on encap. It has one chemical for pad and bonnet, a concentrated version of the same, and one for extraction - I assume it foams less. They also have a traffic lane cleaner with the same basic chemical formula. Also spot cleaners that are specific such as tannin stain remover chem.

I did not see anything that should worry Rick in terms of unique products that would make Releasit obsolete...

Their company has a reach that extends to larger commercial facilities such as schools and hospitals. If they publicize encap it could have a useful effect of making the concept known.

Sorry can't be more specific, rep was not sure on many details since he was fairly new and our focus was on stone care chems.
