I have taken the Carpet Cleaning Technichion course and am personally certified. As a small company with one part time employee how would I benifit from becomming a certified firm? I mean I am the firm right and I am certified. To spend money to certify the LLC which is only a business structure seems like a waste of money. Am I missing something - thoughts?

Rick, most of the Bait and Switchers in my area are "certified firms" and members of the Better Business Bureau.

Perceived value

Most of those bait and switchers do run successful businesses and they recognize the perceived value of certification, as do their clients. Perhaps a legitimate business would also benefit from this perceived value. Certification is a little like chicken soup: It can't hoit ya!

Speaking of education and certifications, are such courses available in an online format to anyone's knowledge? If not, what books do you recommend?

Thanks. -Grant
