Is there an exchange program...

August 10 2006 at 11:28 PM
Matt

I sure would love to exchange my month old challenger for that Vento, I have had enough problems with it, Almost lost all my fingers on my right hand today because of a faulty foot pedal. Not to mention the faulty safety switch and black bumper piece that fell off the third time I used it...Am I the only one???

Matt if you're having problems with the Challenger (or anything you buy from us) we'll do whatever we can to take care of you. If you run into any kind of problem with the Challenger, Chris and Lee at Challenger have been excellent about taking care of everything for our customers. And if there's any warranty related issues they really stand behind their equipment too. So far the Challenger has proven to be a solid piece of equipment that hasn't presented significant problems for us. Why not give me a call and we can try to assist you with your machine? You likely just need to get things sorted out with your new machine. I'm in the office tomorrow afternoon if you want to give me a call then.

Bumper:adheasive or a screw in the front/middle should do the trick.

Safety switch:If it is not starting correctly, take of small panel and fix it.

Foot pedal:Is it loose? tighten it.

The first two I also encountered but the last one never had an issue.

We had to grind down the notch in the foot pedal so it would lock correctly. The handle bars would not stay up on their own when we recieved the machine. After spending almost two grand I really dont want to have to fix anything on a "brand new" machine.

Challenger

There is also a Challenger forum, you can re-post your message there and ask for comments. From everything I've ever been told, the folks at Challenger stand behind this product 100% and have often bent over backwards to make things right.

The forum is at: http://pub9.bravenet.com/forum/show.php?usernum=760471488&cpv=2
And the Challenger folks are at challengerop.com.

I've had a Challenger for 4 months now and am pleased with the performance. It has started to vibrate, but I think I just need to tighten the bolts.
