A job well done

Well it's that time of year again. When I do the carpets at the school that I work at for free.

Today I went in with my 17" floor machine and some FP pads (17").

I used Encap Punch with my new electric sprayer; which by the way if you don't already have one you should, they work great and are worth the investment.

I sprayed the punch as a pre spray then I would feather the juice out of the shampoo tank on the 17".

Let me tell you, WOW. I had so many "the rugs look great" remarks. It made me feel good. It's times like this I really want to get back into carpet cleaning.

The 17" FP pads are wonderful for use on this type of machine. I can encap even though I no longer have big yellow.

I only wish I would have taken along my camera to do before & after shots.
You guys would have been proud of me.

Of course the old day custodian that no one likes had to remark, "they only look good for a few days", he says its just like when he used to clean them using the extractor. Thats cause it was not his idea to clean them and he can't take the credit for the job.

Hey Joe,
Don't know what size school you have but just think for example, you have 1000 kids at your school and your halls are carpet. In a single day these 1000 kids come in and travel across the carpet at least 4 times. So you can figure that in a single day you will have 4000 trips across the carpet that is grinding in the dirt. Times that by one week you have 20,000 trips across the carpet. It is no wonder that the cleaning only lasts a week. No system will keep them clean for very long.

I worked for a local school district. Myself and 2 other people use to TM clean over 2 million sq. ft of carpet a year. None of it stayed clean for very long. I now supervise a cleaning crew for a local university and run my cleaning business during the day. It is possible to do if you really want it.
