Encap-Punch has CRI approval. The CRI tests have no criteria at this time for testing "shampoo" type products. They're only testing pre-sprays, in-tank HWE detergents, and spot cleaners. Encap-Punch was tested as a pre-spray, and we're pleased to report it was awarded the CRI Seal of Approval!

The Cimex was recently tested at Independent Testing Laboratories in Dalton Georgia by Gary Asbury. The Cimex was run on commercial cut pile nylon carpet at a rate of 1.8 sq ft per second (the same rate of speed they test upright vacuum cleaners). The test was conducted using FiberPlus pads as well as shampoo brushes. The test process ran 11 wet & dry passes over the carpet (a combined total of 22 passes). As you know, nobody ever cleans making 22 passes with a Cimex! The results showed that the Cimex did not damage carpet with brushes or FiberPlus pads. This testing confirms that the planetary design of the Cimex is SAFE for carpet.

No OP machine in the industry currently has CRI approval. There's a greater potential for operator error and possible fiber damage with this method. Therefor OP cleaning should be approached with a measure of caution. Careful OP cleaning with wet synthetic pads and appropriate gliders can effectively clean most carpets without distorting the fiber. Yet as with any cleaning method, operator skill and appropriate caution is required.
