I went to a customer yesterday that had a lot of stains and problems. But in two areas it was Black. It was cat hair interwoven with a nylon berber carpet.
These were where two Black cats laid all the time and it had gotten into the fibers. Vacuum wouldn't even budge it. I hit it with the challenger and a fiber plus pad and it mader some come up in balls and we could easily cut them out or pick them up. But not a enough. I'm going back and try my rotary with a carpet brush and extract. But thought I'd ask for any suggestions first. Anybody else run into this before? By the way the customer is thrilled at everything we did and doesn't expect these to come out as other cleaners they have used didn't get anything out and did nothing to these. He was shocked we actually got some to ball up.

i would try my Host scrubber (or if you have one: a similar machine like a pile lifter or Pilemaster).

i'd also try my Challenger with cotton pads. the aggression/agitation of the Challenger would be beneficial.

my Host would probably do a superior job between the 2.

One of the best ways I have to get rid of excessive amounts is to use the Grandi Brush.

By using it SIDEWAYS across the problem areas, it will drag the majority of the hair out of the pile.

Sort of like using a swinging action, instead of the normal wand action.

You then follow up with the normal back/forward motion.

Naturally, wiping your hand along the brush to remove the hair regularly.
