| Has anyone used one of the new cylindrical brush machines with the dirt receptacles? According to the company that sells them you can use them instead of a vacuum prior to encapping and then use the same machine to encap. One company that sells them is some outfit called Brush and Clean. They suggest using them with their dry carpet compound and then vac it up with the same machine. Bridgepoint has one listed in their new catalog and they recommend encapping with it, but they also say you can pre-vac with it. How can one of these machines vacuum carpet thoroughly? Any one know anything about them, I'm curious. Also they are quite expensive. |

I did have one at one point and sold it due to lack of business, which was my fault.
I will soon be buying another one. They are a great machine for encap work or as a pre or post vac machine.
A good investment for the VLM cleaner.

If they vacuum as good as you say and you could mount a solution tank and sprayer on one, then it sounds like it would be the ultimate encap machine. The 20 inch Whittaker machine comes with a tank and sprayer but they don't have the dirt receptacles. What brand was your machine and where did you get it? Thanks for the info! |

Hi folks. This is my first time responding to a topic. I have been using encap since May 2006. The Cimex and releaseit system has been an awsome addition to my service. Rick has done a great job in his development of Releaseit. I have reduced the use of my Butler by 75%. My customers trust me and the systems I use. I value that Trust.
I also have a Whitaker GLS. Even if it had trays I don't feel it will do a proper job when vac carpet. I use the GLS before using my sweeper. The brushes seem to groom the carpet and bring soil (lint. fibers and, dust) to the surface. My sweeper does a much better job after using the GLS. As we all know removing as much dry particulate is vital to a sucessful Encap system. |

Thanks for the info guys. Hey Rick when you read this let me know what the dirt receptacles cost for the 20 inch Whittaker and what do you think about pre-vac with these machines. |

The collection hopper on our cylindrical machines does a pretty amazing job of picking up dry particulate soil.
You can see how effective it works in this video...
