maintenance of their products

September 20 2006, 9:40 AM

C & A is part of the Tandus Group. John Garger in Dalton, Ga. is in charge of maintenance. He is not in favor of the Cimex and requires HWE in their maintenance program. Go to their web site, Tandus.com/maintenance and read their requirements

And I got 3 of them. John Garger e-mailed me and wanted me to do warranty calls for them, but been there and down that for Shaw, Mohawk, J&J and a few others. I stay much closer to home now. I feel if I go 25 to 30 miles from my office, I need to pack a lunch, LOL

The Cimex is CONFIRMED safe for carpet...

September 22 2006, 10:10 AM

We've heard John Garger has made some comments that the Cimex is not considered safe for the C&A carpet.
That puzzled us, since C&A carpet is reported to be a good product.

So a Cimex was sent to PROFESSIONAL TESTING LABORATORY in Dalton Georgia.

Gary Asbury at Professional Testing Laboratory tested the Cimex on CUT PILE commercial carpet. As you may know, cut pile carpet is more susceptible to damage.

Here's how they tested the Cimex...

They ran the Cimex with RELEASIT and FIBERPLUS PADS.
But they didn't make the standard 2-3 passes with the Cimex...

THEY MADE 22 PASSES WITH THE CIMEX (11 wet passes, and 11 dry passes).

Guess what???

The Cimex PASSED

Here's a copy of the test results from Professional Testing Laboratories with Gary Asbury's signature showing that the Cimex passed...
http://www.cimex-usa.com/brochures/TestResult100742.pdf

So statements about a Cimex doing damage to a carpet are not supported by science. Any such comments about the Cimex damaging carpet would amount to personal viewpoints that aren't substantiated by industry accepted test protocols.
