Liability Ins before I start this biz. This time I am doing it the correct way.

Who should I call?

Allstate wants about 1200 a year.

We've used Auto Owners for many years.
They provide excellent business liability coverage.

Shop around. And make sure they have a good reputation for paying if you have a claim.

We are with Zurich and have thought about switching but decided not to. We found out that if we were to switch on Jan.1, 2007 then we would be covered from that point forward with the new company. However, with Zurich we are also covered for previous years. So if something comes up that we need insurance for for Jan. 2006 or Jan. 2005, etc. then we would still be covered with Zurich. We would not be covered if we switched.

I say that to tell you to shop your insurance thoroughly before you buy. We have our Zurich policy through an Allstate agent. We are not unhappy with it, actually we never had to use it, but we had entertained the idea of seeing if we could save some money on it.

By the way, if you think liability is bad then try to get pollution insurance if you do water damage like we do. It starts at $10,000.00 a year and that is if you have no revenue. The more revenue the more the premium.
