Encap Church Chairs????

September 27 2006 at 2:45 AM
Mark Anthony

I have to bid 400 church chairs that are 32 inch wide by 34 inch deep and the backs both sides. I usually charge $2.25 to $2.75 per chair at restaurants and that is including PROTECTOR. I do not want to lose this bid. Could someone tell me what you would charge ENCAP process with drill driver brush? In the past I have done a line-up with a desk chair with rollers. My wife sprays and I scrub, but now we are going to do it as a team with two drills and two pump sprayers at our sides.

Thanx :~}

I normally charge between $1 - $2 per surface for LARGE commercial jobs.

The seat is one surface, the back is another surface, and the rear part of the back is a third surface.

Considering that the chairs are likely not terribly soiled, you could probably afford to bid on the low side. But I wouldn't want to price price them any less than $3 per chair. And $4 or more would be even better.

I know the temptation will be there to shoot them a low price to ensure that you get the job. But keep in mind, it's hard work to bend over and clean a chair, so factor everything in. How fast can you clean? If you average 2 minutes per chair, you can clean 30 per hour. At $3 per chair, that's only $90 per hour (for hard work).

I hope you get it. Just remember to make a profit.

Hey Rick,
That price does not include the protector, does it?
