Hey Rick, why am I finding flakes

in my measuring cup when I pour the last 4 to 8 ozs from each of the last 2 or 3 Encap DS gallon jugs? The flakes are off white and amount to approx a teaspoon amount. Are my gallons old stock and the encapsolate is starting to solidify. I thought the flakes would desolve in the hot water (using bucket heater), but they did not. My concern is that they might clog the cimex so I make sure the filter is in place. By the way, does the DS have a limited shelf life?

Thanks,
Bill

I think what you may be seeing could be coming from the inside of the jug...
As the detergent dries on the interior wall of the jug, it's possible for the polymer to harden on the inside of the jug. Then when you pour out the last couple of ounces, it's possible for a bit of that residue to pour out of the jug too. My suggestion would be to either strain it a little at the tail end of the jug, or just make sure your tank filter is in place. Cleaning out the plumbing on the Cimex on a routine basis will also ensure that nothing gets lodged in the solution path. http://excellent-supply.com/cimex_flow_instructions.pdf

Thanks for asking.
