Hard water wih releasit

I just finished a 10,000 sq ft bank. The Releaseit did not foam much at all. I think the bank had hard water. Could that cause the low foaming? Do I need to increase the oz. per gal. with hard water?

There are a couple of things that can affect foaming. Water hardness can effect foaming, however it's not usually a big concern. A more common factor contributing to lower foaming is oils in the carpet. This can sometimes be observed with certain oil loving fibers such as olefin. At any rate, you can bring your mixture up to about 5-6 oz per gallon if you aren't seeing the foam you'd like. That should take care of it for you.

P.S. Using HOT water can increase foaming too.
A bucket heater is a nice addition for getting HOT water.
