| Ok, I just couldnt wait to give my new toy a try. Of course, my carpets were not in BAD shape, but its been a good 3 months since i've cleaned em, we wear shoes in the house, dog, 2 kids, etc, so they were beginning to show some use. Couldn't get pads at 10pm, so I got the bright idea of cruising to wal-mart, picking up some cheap white towels, cutting em down, and using my releasit DS spiked with odorcide for smell.
Vacuumed, cleaned 3 of the 4 bdrms, hall, and livingroom in roughly 90 minutes. Vacuumed again, woke up the girlfriend who was alseep on the couch, and her comment was "Wow honey, they look purrty". So, I guess that confirms it for me.
I figure to offer cleaning at the same price as usual, just make the determination of which method to use when I do the pre-inspection. Obviously, i would prefer this method for a light soil load.
Any other helpful advice?
Isn't punch more geared for the OP machines?
DFC 105? Have used it as a pre-spray, good stuff, 6oz/gallon.
I'm all about those economical cleaners.
In total, I used 8oz Releasit, 4oz odocide and my cola stain said bye bye |

Kewl - glad to hear you're liking the results
Once you get out on some good commercial stuff, you'll really see it become a money maker. Go for it!
Regarding your question about Encap-Punch:
Encap-Punch is essentially an encapsulating pre-spray. It can also be diluted as a HWE rinse detergent, as well as a bonnet/pad cleaner. It can even be used in the Cimex, it just won't foam as much. It's a great cleaning product and since it has more solvency it can really add some PUNCH to your cleaning. It can be used an effective pre-spray in front of Encap-Clean if you need some extra fire power. Its residue is an encapsulator so it won't attract soil and will continue to be removed in the post vacuuming process. Plus it has CRI approval.

Already decided, the Cimex is my commercial monster....not the challenger by any means. Don't like the need to have 800 pads sitting around the house for my big jobs. This system will allow me to "compete" with these 5 room $59 guys stealing all the business, and start setting my customers up on maintenace plans at a discount.
Honestly, I was in line to purchase some duct cleaning equipment but the fellow sold it out from under me. So, I decided to go shopping at the nearest outlet shopping center which happens to be located near my HWE supply shop. I came to the conclusion that i may as well pick up some supplies while I was there instead of making the 70 mile trip later, so I walked in, and there sat the Challenger. Joking, I asked my friend if they were now selling em, he said "nope. this one is on consignment for $700, used 15 times". I told em that if it would fit into my trunk, i'd take it. Needless to say, it did.
NOw, I cant seem to get rid of these vacuum marks in my carpet though....prolly shoulda raked em out while they were damp |
