Post-Vac'ing Damp Carpet --- Tip!

October 22 2006 at 9:16 PM
Derek

i use my DC07 Dyson (yellow) to post-vac resi after OP'ing with my Challenger and it works swell.

i have also used my Bissel ClearView...and i clogged all the "plumbing" up

the reason?

the Dyson has an AUTOMATIC height adjustment. the Bissel, a MANUAL height adjustment.

i left the Bissel's manual height adjustment too low and it REALLY dug into the damp fibers (and damp dog hair in this particular house) and it wreaked havoc on the plumbing.

i feel that if your vac motor burns out it is MOST likely, you left the height adjustment too low. raise it up enough to let the suction pluck those staple fibers and pills from the surface.

just my opinion and experiences...hope this helps someone --- Derek.
