How much H202?

October 25 2006, 11:31 AM

I usually use 2-oz/gal(you may need more). If the carpet is crunchy, you used too much. I mix it in a 5 gal bucket with the hottest water I can find. Stir until you can feel no more grit, then pour into your chem tank. Never mix H202 in a sealed container,(jugs/sprayers the release of oxygen can cause an explosion.
Be sure to rinse your tank and lines out with water at the end of the day.

VERY IMPORTANT !

Mix the Sodium Percarbonate in clear Hot water FIRST and stir very thoroughly until completely dissolved. THEN add any other cleaning agents like Releasit. If you have anything else in the water when you first try to dissolve the Percarbonate, it will make foam and boil over until the cows come home. It's very fun but it makes a huge mess.
