Cimex Pads

Do any of you guys know of any pads to put on the Cimex that would work well for extracting soil? In some instances the soil load is to much for straight encap and I don't want to have to pull out my OP every time for that. I tried the thin pads that I got from Rick but they don't pull much soil at all. The Argo company can custom make pads the correct size but they are kind of expensive, about $8.00 each. Would appreciate some input.
Thanks

How about Rick's bonnets ??

Cheers,

Shorty.

PS:::: Sorry it took so long for me to answer.

I've seen the light, and changed my ways.

I did try Rick's pads. The only ones he has that I know of are the thin line encap pads and they are good for scrubbing but they don't pull much soil.

I never tried this but it may work...Use one brush and two FP pads on your Cimex. The brush would dig a little deeper, loosen some soil and the FP pads would absorb it. I don't have brushes or I would have tried it long ago. Did anyone ever try this? Often I will follow-up with my Sprint machine in the traffic areas. It produces nice results, but does take more time.

I think the Argo 2-sided pads would be your best bet. Though a little pricey, they last a long time, and would pay off your original investment many, many times over. Doesn't make sense to be penny-wise and pound-foolish. Keep in mind your job will go more slowly that straight encap, since you have to stop regularly in order to turn pads over, and then to replace them when both sides are soil-saturated. But they really absorb a lot of liquified soil.
