I May Specialize in Day Care Centers...

Rambo

In my post $21546.00 Annual, I mentioned the "Contract" 7 Daycare Centers. A little update on how it went. (we have completed four of them) It took 85 ounces of Releasit DS per Center and 2&1/2 hours to do them, (2 men) We used the Cimex and the 320 rpm Bonnet machine. We pad-caped all the rooms that the children sleep on the floor on those little mats. We vacuumed every square inch of carpet with the Hoover Conguest 18" (if you believe Hoover's fuzzy math) Job turned out great and I have the two female owners as Cheerleaders now. All of the furniture was moved prior to us getting there, very easy job. We also cleaned three rugs at no charge as we employeed the Fred Factor. You need to read this book if you haven't done so already. It will change you and everyone who works in your company, We need more Freds out there. This is a true story about Fred who was a Postman. I'll bet Billy Yeadon has read it.

my daycare franchise is one of my best accounts to.

filthy as all get out though. i don't think a couple of them vacuum at all in between my visits. they all move nearly every piece of furniture before we start though, thats a big plus.

good going Ray.

thanx --- Derek.

We clean about 12 day cares they are all very nice to work for in most cases.
8 of them are owned by the same lady. One of my SWEETEST accounts, they pay well and quickly.

Tell me more please.

How do you explain away the urine and other inherant problems that these jobs always have.

Guess I really want more ammunition to fire back at all the questions I am likely to encounter during the quotation period.

Questions such as " don't you flush out the wee wee" ??

"Is it really clean and germ free" ??

"Can we be sure that the children will not catch anything after you have cleaned the carpet" ??

"Where do all the faecies and wee wee go" ??

I am sure that a lot of other cc'ers would love to ask these questions, but maybe are a bit shy

Down under, most reputable cleaners work to the Australian Standard 3733 for carpet cleaning.

Also, in Queensland, to work in areas where children MAY be present, we must have what is called a "Blue Card".

This is a card that is only issued after the state police have done a criminal check on the person applying for such card.

When quoting, I always make a point of advising that all of our staff are holders of a "Blue Card".

Cheers,

Shorty.

I've seen the light, and changed my ways.

Have two of the same questions as other guys.

Just seems a little differant not to HWE a daycare. What is your insight on not having to HWE?

2nd We do a school and like Shorty everyone of our employee's has to be finger printed. Do you have any of those requirements?

Ray it is always great to get an account like this.
Congrates!

"Commercial Only"

theres no way to get rid of all the germs in a carpet. thats why on a disinfectant cleaner label it says HARD INANAMENT OBJECTS. carpet being pourus, you will not get 100% even with HWE.

we extract the parts that we need to and encap parts that HWE is not needed

As far pee well yes that needs to be extracted of at the very least padded or bonnet cleaned.

Infant and small toddelers areas need to be extracted, common areas and older kids rooms we encap unless we know there was accidents in that room

It comes down to communicaton with the clients. They call us when kids barf pee or Poo on the rugs.
