| I bid a church and was planning on doing this with HWE. I just got my Cimex and would like to clean the church with it. How do I offer Scotchgard protection? Is it necessary. The area I was planning on using scotchgard was the high traffic areas and the fellowshiphall where meals are eaten.
I see that some soileze is in the Releaseit DS so now do I need to offer it.

When I do any of my proposals. I inform the customer that there is a scotch gaurd product in my solution that will keep the carpets cleaner longer. I then tell them that I can use a full strength scothgaurd in areas that might need it. For a price of course!
The main thing to to is get the customer on a maintenace program. This will ensure them clean carpets all year long and not just a one time cleaning. When they sign on for a maintenance package the solieze in DS works great. I have never had to us a protector when they choose clean carpets over a carpet cleaning.

Hi Rick,
I want to thank you for all you offer. It is wonderful to have a systen that works so well. I appreciate you time and committment to my success.
Ihave one question. I purchased several cases of 3M Scotchgard on sale before I started using Cimax and your Releasit.
Can I apply 3M Scotchgard over carpets cleaned with Releasit? I plan to start using Soilease as soon as I use my current supply of Scotchgard.
Thanks agaian for your time.

Jamie,
Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you on that. We have not tested Scotchgard with Releasit. And since I don't have any data on that, I'd hesitate to comment on whether it would be compatible going over the top of an encap detergent. An issue that can occur when you're applying a protector over an encapsulator is that the protector could possibly alter the encap process. In the case of Releasit, the encap residue dries to a crystal. We're concerned that adding a protector over the top of Releasit detergents could have a negative impact on the crystallization and defeat its encapsulation properties. The fluorochemistry we're using in Releasit works in conjunction with our detergent formulations. We specifically selected this fluorochemical for its compatibility as well as its protection. The Soileze fluoroprotector complements the entire Releasit line and adds to the performance of our products. We haven't conducted tests with Scotchgard's fluorochemistry so I really don't know how it would perform.

Rick,
Thanks for your informative reply. I use HWE on most residential accounts. The Scothgard can be used after HWT.

if the carpet has been vac'ed use the 3M, the small amount of crystals left behind won't be an issue.
