Commerical job Berber carpet

January 9 2007 at 3:44 PM
Wayne L Hendrickson

I have a job on Friday where I will be cleaning two offices. These offices have berber in them and I am considering using the cimex.

HOwever, I read a post a while back and now have mixed thought on using cimes or HWE.
Any thoughts

You bet I do...

I just left a job like that an hour ago. Let me share with you how I did it; This was six offices with residential berber style olefin over a 1/4" pad (dumb idea) and it was nasty. I tried two other methods and was about to give up and tell the owner to replace it. The owner already figured it would not clean. I hate to give up, so for my third attempt, I went to the van and pulled out my 19" Cimex and 3 grey Maxi-Plus pads. I was trying not to use the Cimex as I had to take it up 8 brick steps. Now I already have other chems on the carpet with the other method, so I wait 30 minutes and apply hot Encap Punch mixed 12 ounces to a gallon, let it dwell 15 minutes and start to clean with Cimex and Releasit DS mixed 6 ounces to a gallon of hot water. I was blown away with the results. I am beginning to use this combo more often now. I used to mix the two together (Releasit/Encap-Punch) but am finding out that putting them down seperately works much better.

Ray, did you scrub the Punch in with the Mex; or simply pre-spray it ??

Then do your thing with the Mex; & DS.

Best to check before I make myself look a fool again

Thanks,

Shorty.

PS:: EIGHT STEPS ???

I've seen the light, and changed my ways.

I did one other thing Shorty

I forgot that after I pre-sprayed the Punch, I used my CRB machine to work it in, especially in the traffic lanes. Shorty, you sure can read between the lines, but of course you can, you are 50 plus how many months? LOL

Punch & DS can pack a "Punch"

Thanks for sharing that with us Ray. Your "big guns" approach (Punch & DS) has proven to be a pretty formidable opponent to even the grungiest stuff. We've seen the Punch & DS combo knock the stuffin out of just about anything it encounters. Glad to hear it did the trick on your ugly olefin berber job! SUCCE$$ is sweet isn't it?
