Nearly 3 years with my Cimex and...

Derek

haven't had to replace my Cimex's belt yet. heck, i haven't had to replace ANY of the Cimex hardware yet. the only thing i have yet to fix is the small set-screw in the adjustable armature for the handle. i have the original i just can't seem to get it to go in.

i do keep a spare belt in the van, and 3 spare of those clear plastic heads that fit over the solution line openings (the ones that you remove to clean out the solution lines in the head of the machine).

anything else i should have on hand?

talk about a durable machine.

thanx --- Derek.

Derek,

Fear not. Fortunately, there's not not much that ever goes wrong with these machines.
Just go to work and make that sucker bring in the moo-la.
If it breaks we can get what you need at that time.

Derek-

I think you should part with some of your millions and just buy a spare Cimex.

I'm sure Rick would agree.

Did Darren call you for the AH on 2/26?

We now have two Cimex's but the first one I have had for 3 years or maybe more, I forget. We use them all the time and the only thing that we seem to break on them is the little black piece on the deck where the plastic tubing goes into the deck. One of my guys can change out the piece in ten minutes though so it does not keep us down long.

Since we have moved into our new building one Cimex is staying in our rug pit and the other goes out on carpet cleaning jobs.

Kevin, can you post in detail how one changes that black nipple out? do you have to do it from underneath the deck?

i don't recall this being discussed before (how to do it). if it has, please feel free to post a link. the only thing i remember on this subject is someone posting about using a thick "heavyduty" straw to temporarily (or permamanently??) replace it.

i have never broke mine, or even hit it that i know of, but now will be the time i do it lol.

thanx --- Derek.

Derek,

Seriously I will have to ask my employee. I have no idea how he did it. All I know is by the time I got off a phone call he had it done.

I will find out and post it here.
