Question for Rick

Rick I have had my new Sprint for a couple of weeks now. So far I love it! It does just what I hoped it would do. The only thing I use it for is carpet and it works great. Well anyway, here is my question. The height adjustment for the brushes does'nt seem to have any effect at all regardless of what position it is in, what do you think? I have looked at it every way that I can think of. When you turn the machine on the side and work the switch there is no movement in the brush height that is visible. The book that comes with it is not very helpful. The red switch on the other side seems to be a safety, because the machine won't run unless it is in the right position.
If you don't mind I would appreciate some info.
P.S. One improvement that would make this machine sooo much better is if it had a set of transport wheels mounted permanently on the rear, similar to an O.P. machine. It gets old sometimes lifting it to move to another room. I have a dolly for it but it's not the same as having it's own wheels.

Joe the dolly is pretty much just for hauling the Sprint longer distances (like across the parking lot and into the building). And I can see what you're saying about adding transport wheels. That's a cool idea that would probably make moving the machine even easier. I'll pass the suggestion along to the manufacturer. Thanks.

I would agree with you that the height adjustment is fairly subtle. It's there for when you're cleaning PLUSH carpets to raise the machine higher. And on flatter carpets you can lower the machine for more agitation. Raising the machine when cleaning higher pile will extend the life of the brushes and will avoid straining the motor. Another suggestion for extending the brush life is to reverse the brushes by reversing their position in the machine.

I'm happy to hear that the Sprint is doing well for you - it is a cool machine! If I can help you have questions or if I can help you with it give me a call (always here to help you if I can).
