Changing black plastic part on Cimex ( for Derek)

February 10 2007 at 4:11 PM

Kevin_Pearson

Derek,

I have been forgetting to ask my tech how he changed the black plastic piece that the chem tube goes into on the Cimex, until yesterday. He showed me the machine and said it was real easy he just loosened the two screws and slid the broken piece off and then put the new piece in and screwed it back together.

Now, I did not remember it being that easy that last time I did it which was a couple of years ago. So, I looked at my other machine and they are a little different. So this might not be a lot of help to you, because I can't remember how I did the other one which is probably similar to yours. If I am not mistaken we bought our first one about the same time you bought yours.

Anyway, sorry it took so long to get back to you.

It's not that hard to do - if you've got skinny fingers. My sausage fingers have trouble squeezing in between the blue deck and the yellow cowl.

Thanks for sharing that Kevin.

Get a Japanese neighbour to do it for you.

NOT a Sumo wrestler in training either.

They can do incredible things with their tiny hands.

Cheers,

Shorty.

I've seen the light, and changed my ways.

It's not easy but even I pulled it off.

That part should be metal.
