Hey guys new to the cimex gig,

Was wondering what to charge for encap with cimex? SQ foot?

Also do you need to hot extract every so often?

Buildings are from 120,000 to 300,000 each

Also is the cimex the best for jobs this big?

If the test pattern goes good on sat I will get ovewr 2 million sq foot.

my answers
1) some comm carpet cleaners charge as low as 5¢ right on up to 50¢. thats a question only you can answer. figure out how much you need to make per hour to stay in biz, then charge accordingly. there is no answer for this, YOU have to figger it out.

2) you don't NEED to HWE every so often. i never have yet, while others do. i have yet to see the need. might depend on the circumstances i guess.

3) i dunno about the best, but it is what i would use.

thanx --- Derek.

the 5 M's you need to know are

Man
Machine
Material
Mileage

1. How many hours is it going to take to do the job?

a. How much travel time per Tec will you have each cleaning?

b. Do you have to vacuum? How many sq. ft. can you vac per
hour?

c. If you are using Cimex figure 2500-3000 sq. ft./hour for
Cimex.

d. Add total hours estimated each time you plan the work.

AFTER YOU KNOW HOW MANY HOURS THE JOB IS GOING TO TAKE
YOU NEED TO DECIDE WHAT TO CHARGE PER HOUR.
1. come up with a multiple of labor and that is your
hourly rate. example labor rate of $15.00/hr just
multiply by 5 for $75.00/hour labor will be 20% which
is not bad.

2. Example 120,000 sq. ft.

4 techs drive 1 hour each way. 8 hours billing
vac 10,000 sq.ft./hour 12 hours billing
Cimex 3000 sq. ft./hour 40 hours billing
Lunch/setup/teardown 6 hours billing
TOTAL BILLING HOURS 66 TOTAL HOURS

PRICE 66 HOURS X $75 = $4950.00 or about 4 cents/sq. ft.

You don't like 4 cents a sq. ft. just raise your charge
per hour. It is not just a sq. ft. price even though it
works out to one.

If I can make it anymore complicated just ask?
