Can Von Schrader Upholstery System

Can the Von S system be used with any type of fabric material? I am looking for something safe. I do everything by hand with a sea sponge. Comes out looking great and customers are happy. I am just looking for a better system.

I never owned one personally but I've heard good things about their upholstery machine.

I think so;I own one and use it for pretty well any upholstery fabric that can take low moisture - and that's all of the normal ones and includes things like nubuck leather and silk which can be tricky. But the key is that the foam the machine generates is only about 12% water so it is indeed low moisture. The brushes also play a big role too in the agitation.

I actually thought your post was going to ask if the VS machine could be used to encap. I tend to think so but have never tried it since I don't know offhand the foaming characteristics of encap products although I don't think it matters all that much.

I have used the Von Scrader Esprit upholstry machine with Encap Clean, and it works great!Mix it 6 oz per gal of hot water, and it makes rich , creamy foam. My customers rave about not only the fresh smell, but how well it cleans.

V.S. and Encap

I am on my 5th VS Upholstery machine, the last two being the Esprit. Danny Strickland has one of my old Esprits. I use mine for furniture and leather furniture. When cleaning regular furniture I use the Esprit as it really impresses the customer/clients. The bucket and sponge just doesn't look very professional IMHO. On leather it is the bomb, does a great job with Leather Lotion from Von Schreader. On regular furniture I mainly run Releasit in it, ir works better than the VS product. And I can clean furniture faster with my Makita 957-C but there again it looks like I am polishing a car and I am interested in impressing my customer/clients. Is it safe? you bet, I have cleaned over 7000 pieces of furniture w/o a problem.

Joe M. if you come down for CONNECTIONS on Clearwater Beach you can go to Tarpon Springs, about 30 minutes away, and buy sea sponges fresh off the boats. How can you pass up a chance like that!
