Wood Floor problem

April 4 2007 at 9:46 AM

I am using the Rx for Wood floor system on an entryway floor. I have been unable to get all the finish that the customer has put on the floor. Tried mineral spirits, a strong degreaser - not much better from either. I cannot put a lot of water on the floor as it is the layered construction type of wood floor. Any ideas? Floor stripper?? Thanks

Darren

I guess I am confused by your question. RX for wood isnt designed to strip a floor. It is designed to chemicaly and mechanicly etch the floor. Are you trying to remove wax build up?? Or are you trying to go down to bare wood??

I am currently in the middle of the same situation. I have 5.5 years of maid sprayed liquid wax on entire floor 4300 sq ft. I have been using a no rinse floor stripper agetating with red pads on Cimex. I tell you I am having great success but it is alot of work. some sections require 5-6 stripping steps. I have a helper who is using the wet and dry vac after I agetate the stripper. I am also using stright water in the Cimex to help rinse the stripper off.
