Quote Help Please?

Derek

i recieved this request for quotation and am not sure if i want to proceed. they are accepting only the lowest price...period. my questions are below the image:

i assumed Milliken carpet had to be CC'ed by a Milliken authrized CC'er. are they setting me up? or do you think they not care about warranty?

what is "Polymethylmethacrylate" and "phenolic resin"? are they in your products Rick?

and what is a "Hypoalergenic Deodorizer"? sounds like a waste. will Tea Tree suffice?

or do they want a post-application of a hypoallergenic deo? which will then be New York State sales-taxable.

thanx for your help fellas --- Derek.

No I don't think they're setting you up.
They are requesting service that seems reasonable.
This sounds like it might be a decent account to go after.
Is this a government account?

Releasit products are compliant with what they're requesting. No problem there.
And Tea Tree is Hypo-Allergenic. I would tell them you're using an essential oil based deodorizer. And then spike your Releasit with additional tea Tree. It will do the trick nicely.

Bid it at the price you would normally charge for cleaning 15,000 sq ft. They will probably be looking for a bid in the 7 cent range if it is government low bid job. But you should still be able to make a nice profit on that. And you will probably not be able to charge more than $1-$2 per surface on the chair cleaning. This isn't great money, but I've done my share of this kind of work and you can still make some money at it.

Go for it. What have you got to lose?

Call the person incharge of the desision making and ask them the proper questions you ask any other prospect.

It looks to me as if they only want this place cleaned once a year and traffic areas once a year. That can be ok but if the areas are heavily used the place just may be trashed.

We really do not waste a lot of time on accounts that go out to be every year any more unless they are looking for quality work not the cheapest price. I always want to talk to the desision maker before I put pen to paper or pay a visit to any facility
