| for the few of you that have owned both a SD and a CRB, which one would you not be without?
i am looking to buy one this year but am not sure which direction to go. eventually i will have both, but will be purchasing them one at a time.
it will be used in the modest 50-70 homes i clean a year (coupled with my Challenger if i need it), and will also be used on 50% of my commercial jobs (Cimex the other 50%).
thanx --- Derek. |

Derek, my thinking is that a form of HWE is a very important tool to have even when your main method of cleaning is low moisture. Personally, I would not be without HWE although I don’t use it nearly as often as low moisture there are times that the carpet, or a portion of the carpet needs a good flushing. With low moisture and HWE capabilities you can properly handle any job that comes your way.

Hey Derek,
If you don't already have an extractor, I agree with Richard. Tonight is a case in point. An assisted living facility I have been encapping for several months wanted me to HWE one of the wings which had a 139 ft. long hallway. Man, do I wish I had the SD tonight. Instead I had to hire help and bring in my Olympus M1200 with solution hoses, vacuum hoses, wand, 3 power cords and other items when I could have had the SD and 200' of solution & pump out hoses and be done with it. You can always use the Cimex or Challenger if you need to scrub.

Derek, as you already have a Cimex and a OP I would go for the Steamin Demon first and CRB later. Get the 20" Demon, I would have a 24" if they had one. I just cleaned two vacant houses, one 2900 sq.ft w/ 2 sets of stairs the other 1900 sq. ft. no stairs with the Demon only including the stairs. Pre-vac, Presprayed w/Punch mixed heavy, agitated a few bad areas and hallways with a Grandi Groomer and rinsed with hot water only |

Hi Derick,
I aggree with Richard.
I have a Butler System, a CRB, and two Cimex units. I just started Encap over the last year and use the CRB with Releaseit on 75% of residential. The HWE is a must on some jobs. Encap has great profit and is much easier to use then HWE. Encap is not the best method for all jobs.
I have used the Cimex and Release it on almost 100% on Commercial, but some require HWE. I don't understand how a restaurant with tons of grease can be cleaned with a Cimex and Releaseit.
I have a lot to learn in this business, but I use HWE on thick grease. I wish I could use Encap on every job but I just can't.
Each job needs a good evaluation to determine what is best for the customer. They win we win!
