That is what it looked like to me, I was looking for the badgerblade.com website and stumbled into there. My gosh there is all sorts of things, I thought the old double edge, straight razor and use of a shaving brush stopped with my grandpa or before, unless one got a really old barber. How ornate, all the little topics, etc. Would be interesting to see a CC forum with all the different methodologies differentiated.

there are several CC forums out there with that type of setup with diff methods...they are all extremely slow with little to no traffic.

if you caught it, they discussed this on Mike's forum and i agree with the general consensus: it promotes an "us -vs- them" type of thinking to have several diff forums in one big forum.

i prefer seperate forums like this one, the VLM and then Mike's & ICS.

they ALL hold ppl that use many diff methods, tho each leans toward one method more than any other, in general (this one - Encap generally ; VLM - VLM generally ; Mike's / ICS - HWE generally).

thanx --- Derek.

I haven't gotten on Mike's board, it is intersting why it promotes an "os vs. them" environment. Why? I generally have thought and assumed everybody felt, that all methods have their strengths/weaknesses. Use of a particular method or combination sometimes better for different situations. That is part of what make it interesting and more "fun". Otherwise it is just redundant cleaning work. Also, the chemistry, technologies, etc. add some additional points of interest. Why become so personally invested in being so territorial about carpet cleaning? Life is too short, 80 years from now, few will remember what one used to clean a textile on a floor. It is just an endeavour to garner legal tender.
