Rick I was wondering if Releasit would work well on Crypton furniture. I have several pieces to do and to be able to encap would be great. Thanks!

According to Lex Luther

Kryptonite furniture should only be cleaned using a special lead based cleaner.

OK now here's a serious answer... Although I am not familiar with Crypton furniture, Releasit can be used to clean any "water safe" textile. If the fabric can handle wet cleaning, Releasit will not harm it. If you are cleaning delicate natural upholstery fiber such as cotton, wool or silk, we recommend adding a touch of citric acid (not to be confused with citrus solvent) to bring it down to a pH of 6, and keep the moisture low.

Lead based cleaner ???

May 8 2007, 9:32 PM

Rick, you say that Kryptonite uses a LEAD based cleaner.

Is not LEAD harmful to us ecologically ??

Heavy metals and all that stuff.

As far as I am aware, most substances containing LEAD, (down under), have been removed from the market place.

If the above is true, to me it seems like a step backwards in time.

I wonder what trace elements would be left on the Kryptonite furniture for some baby to lick and chew on ??

Cheers,

Shorty.

What lead did for Superman

Lead actually blocks his X-Ray vision.

And if I remember correctly protected him from Kyrptonite as well too.

Blushing, shy, mild mannered business manager

Meanwhile down under, a blushing, shy, mild mannered carpet cleaner, hastily steps into his cleaning van and pulls his pool towel closer around his ample girth.

Fearing for the worst, he shields his eyes with Raybans, tramps the pedal to the metal and departs even further down under amidst the thunderous sounds of raucous laughter from those in his chosen profession, up top, over there.

Jeez, time to "get the lead out" and concentrate more on the American humo(u)r psyche. LOL.

Good one Rick.

Cheers,

Shy Shorty Down Under.

Crikey - you'd think that " according to Lex Luthur" would be a big enough hint for a smart bloke like Shorty, lol.
