iCapsol's are still here

May 25 2007 at 7:26 AM

Rick Gelinas

Just wanted to let you fellas know that we are still selling the Windsor equipment including the iCapsol Mini

The reason we no longer show it on our website is because Windsor requested that we take it off the website. Windsor has very limited rules for ecommerce. So we are no longer showing the machines on our website, however we still sell the machines at a very good price. Call if you would like more details. 1-800-330-1888

Thanks

Interesting

Interesting,

A company that has the ability to easily sell more product through the internet, but reduces that opportunity.

Rick, can you explain the tactic there please?  They are a smart company and I am sure they have their reasons, I just don't see it on the surface.

Maybe I can learn something.

Here's my guess-

Windsor sells a TON of product through janitorial supply houses. These places are notorious for selling everything at MSRP; Rick advertising them at a lower price would drive them nuts.

Just a guess...

I would agree, regarding janitorial supply houses. However to there defense, through their sales in the past, their brick and mortar confines, employee baggage, etc. they have helped get Windsor to this point. Shouldn't Windsor do a few things a least on the surface to "protect" these distributors? If not long term, at least require sales of all new products pricing not be an ecommerce commodity. Hasn't Lindhaus done this in the past with new models such as the Activa's?

You guys nailed it. It's all about the Jan San houses.
Not a problem though. We can work with their requests.

i worked for a jan/san distributor. their pricing was 30-40% off list. most times we did a 5% load and then added our profit %, which was anywhere from 25% minimum to 60% on single machine sales.

i sold over 30k several months and over 75k once.

the down side of selling machines is that the manufacturer gets their price no matter what, where the distributor had to compete with other companioes selling the same brand and they could give it away if they wanted to.

Wayne,

Similiar to a Sprint machine, with some differences.  Read the Sprint page under the Products area.  Biggest difference (for now) no onboard sprayer on the I-Capsol.
