Handle problem?

I am having a problem with the handle of the cimex slipping. When I press the handle it pops out of the small box down near the bottom of the cimex. I unscrewed the piece from the cimex and the rod that goes from the handle to the box to release DS keeps slipping out. I don't know if I explained the problem correctly, but anyone ever seen this?

Are you referring to the solution release rod that extends from the solution control lever down to the blue colored solution valve at the bottom of the tank? If that is the rod you're asking about, it is threaded into the valve.

Here is the way to fix the rod if it comes loose. First detach the rod from solution control lever by removing the screw and nut that connects the rod to the lever. Then re-thread the rod into the valve so that it is seated into the threads. And then reattach the solution control lever to the top of the rod.

If the rod is not holding fast in the valve, the threads inside the valve may be stripped out, in which case you will need to replace the valve assembly (which is an inexpensive part). Call me at the office on Monday and I can walk you through it over the phone.
