Cimex brushs

I'm told the original carpet brushes did not do very well to soft. Has anyone tried the medium brushs yet? I'm aware most encap. jobs fiber or max pads are best and I have ordered from Rick G. , but I have a couple accounts that have very thin cheap carpet very little nap and wonder if the brush would perform better than pads.

I like the brushes for cut-pile and berber or multi-level. I used them on a frieze last Friday. Worked beautifully.

Dave-
are those the original brushes or the medium? where do you suggest using the pads? are you also using for residential?

I disagree on the bit about the brushes being too soft.

I use them for cleaning Oriental rugs and they are perfect.

It's a case of choosing the right piece of equipment for the job at hand.

Just the same as what pads will you use on carpet, Fibre Plus or Fibre Plus Max ??

Each ingredient is an integral part of the cleaning pie if you like,

On a trashed carpet you would use the Max to get a good result, whereas on most carpets, the Fibre Plus would be the norm, however, for a delicate rug, I prefer the soft brushes.

I did try the harder brushes and found them too abrasive for what I was cleaning, but they are excellent for other surfaces.

This is only my opinion and please bare in mind, all my work is upside down compared to yours

Cheers,

Shorty.

I've seen the light, and changed my ways.

PS::: If the carpet is that cheap & thin that the pads may damage, it might be a good idea to walk on this job.

Shorty hit it right on the head...

"On a trashed carpet you would use the Max to get a good result, whereas on most carpets, the FiberPlus pads would be the norm, however, for a delicate rug, I prefer the soft brushes."

Soft brushes are best for soft fibers, such as a delicate wool rug. Use FiberPlus pads for everything else. And use the FiberPlus Max for more aggressive scrubbing of a commercial carpet.
