I have not measured the difference in dry times as it is a non issue for me
( We put down fans), but when feeling the carpet there is no noticeable difference to me.

In the res setting I would not use the XL 20, the maneuverability factor.
I been going back and forth with the Classic and the XL 15 as to which on I like best in the residential setting. If I am doing UPH and stairs I like the XL, it is easier to hook up the hoses.

Decisions, decesions...

Derek, if your trying to figure out which one to buy, get the 20" Much better value. I use mine in residential w/o any problem, but I also do alot of vacants and that is where the Demon shines. BTW, have I ever steered you wrong?

I'd agree on the 20.

I have an xl-15 and would like to have all the hours back that a 20 would have saved me over the past few years.

So its a little more cumbersome, if you get in a tight spot, hook up your hand tool, you'll still be saving time doing it that way than using a 15.
