We have run our Cimex in residence occassionally. One time when the Butler was down, and a couple of times to fix some wicking problems. The problem with using the Cimex in a residence is it is big and bulky. So you need wide open areas. Most people have too much stuff for that.

I guess I'm different that most. For me the question isn't whether I use my Cimex in residential. The question is whether to HWE after. If it is closed loop like berber, I use Fiber Plus pads. If it is cut pile, I'll use brushes. I will almost always HWE a cut pile after. Called dual process. It's bulkiness has never been a problem for me. Taking it up stairs has.
