Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't all berber olefin? And if not should I be afraid of using Cimex on any berber. Much berber in the area and so far the best clean that stands the pile and gives rejuvination to the berbers has been my dual RotoVac. But would make life easier to use the Cimex. Tried on some common hallways today at an apartment complex pretty happy with it still working on my flow, if I feel to mush was released I drypass over it and spread it around.

Looped Berber is the style or weave of a carpet, it is not the type of fiber of a carpet. It can be made of Olefin, Nylon and Wool.

Around here we also have Cut Pile Berber. This style of Berber is not really a Berber at all. It does not have loops. It has a similar appearance of a plush style carpet but has a multicolored appearance, a speckled look. Usually the main color is light with darker flecks of color throughout.

Appreciate that, have you had success cleaning all berbers? If so which pad do you prefer. Most of what I've been doing is Olefin however I do come across the wool and once and a while cut pile berber. Chemical preference? So far I've been impressed with the Cimex with fiber plus pads.

I never have a problem cleaning berber with a buffer/solution tank and scrub pad and of course a good encapsulation solution. Jeff as soon as you use up that stuff that came with your cimex and use Rick's stuff you will like the results even better. I cleaned a white berber for a lady last year after she spent 3 hrs cleaning with a store bought machine and didn't get any results. She was amazed how easy it cleaned when I did it.
