I was noticing the two totally different reponses on the two boards on the aussie board yesterday.
Totally predictable if you ask me.
Kevin, do you have new water coming in contineously during cleaning to flush the rug?
Did you show before and after photos with the rug? Did you clarify on your website that the colour was not dyes?
Other than that, go for it mate and well done on your responses to the critics.

John,
I do have fresh water coming in to my pit. I have it set up like a river. The water comes in on one side and goes out a pump on the other side. The whole thing is on a slant. I built a deck under it and one corner is 2 inches higher than the opposite corner where the water goes out. This makes it easy to drain. At first we had it flat on the concrete slab. That did not work well when we had to drain it. There would be quite a bit of water left in it that did not flow to the pump. So that is why we built the deck.
The deck is 2x4 on 12 inch centers and 2x12 on the top. Then the 2x4's set on strips of wood that decrease in width to give the pit its slant to one side. Then in the back we put some wedges to make it flow to the corner with the pump.
Now we are in the process of building a rack to pull up the rugs for drying. I will have to think of some way to incite a riot with that and then post again.

Perhaps escaping from a burning straight jacket while a circular saw blade is swinging over-head and two 10 foot rattle-snakes are losed in the pit....during the cleaning?
I am not the poster child for needing approval from my "peers" (we may something in common there). I was very imppressed with yout 'methods'. Moreso with the results. Take that to the bank.
