Dave's Stone Class

Ken

Just arrived back last night from sunny Florida after attending 3 action packed days at Dave Gelinas Stone Class. AWESOME guy as well as his staff you share the same passion for the industry!

We spent a little over a half a day on day one in the class discussing a wide variety of issues. The rest of the time was spent hands on although there was still constant discussion of who, what why and the where practicalities of what we were doing or any questions that came to mind on our part!

Our class worked on a travertine floor. We removed the lippage working with metals, filled, and worked our way all the way up to 1800 resins, and then powder polished. What an amazing difference in the finished product. Dave was using the Cimex stone machine. I’ve been using a swing machine and there is absolutely no comparison in the efficiency, ease of use and results you’ll achieve with the Cimex versus a swing machine.
We also did quite a bit of face polishing on granite and marble as well as crack and chip repair with great results too!

Dave is an awesome instructor, astute business guy and quite humble. He doesn’t come across with any hidden agenda. Dave knows and loves food too and kept us well nourished!

I don't think the next class has been set right now. Dave said it would probably be 3 mo. or more. Call Dave at
1-800-MARBLEGUY and he will tell you the facts.
It was an amazing class as to what you can learn. Did not know you could do that to a rock. The experience was first class and Dave is a good teacher. It was good to meet Ken at the class along with Dave's staff, which are first class also. It sets the juices flowing as to what you can do with the field and the money you can potentialy make if you apply what you learn with a little bit of practice. Good class to invest in.

Hi Guys

Sorry I haven’t had a chance post, I have been just north of Atlanta getting some concrete polishing certifications since last Sunday. All I can say is WOW. Man did that floor come out nice.

As for the class, I really enjoyed having you guys here. As you guys found out stone care and restoration is something that is very doable and with a little direction and support you both are going to do great. Ken, I’m glad you had a chance to run the Cimex and compare it to your weighed swing machine, I knew you’d find it a lot easer. George as you progress and move more into stone please don’t ever hesitate to get with me if you have any questions at all.

As for the next class, let me get back to the office (I won’t be back till Monday AM). I’m thinking of doing another one in about 3 months but if there is a great deal of interest I might be able to put something together sooner.

Again guys we really enjoyed having you and please keep in touch.
