Thanks

I had done a search, both here and on Google. I do not recall what, exactly, I got but it was similar with different letters. By that i mean it was a cxm 20 or cmx or something. The RX tossed me off track.

Thank you.

The RX and CMX are identical machines (except for the sticker package!). The RX is sold by Hydramaster; the CMX is sold by CleanMaster, which is a division of Hydramaster.

Oh......

Okay, that clears up things a bunch. Odd, I just did another google search, the rx was first to come up.

How do these machines do on CGD carpet? My rotovac is useless there. It jumps and screams and yells and wants a divorce...wait, wrong forum.

The cimex is the best for commercial cleaning. You are on the right site to place an order.

I own a Vento purchased here, realseitDS Punch and several other items my budget allowed for now. I am impressed...but still seeking.

Technically #2 above is a Rotovac 360, not a Rotovac (which some now call a Rotovac "Classic").  I have heard that the 360 will work on GCD.  I would say the best person to talk to would be Fast Eddie on the ICS Board for the real deal on a Rotovac 360.

But I would agree Cimex or CRB, like a Sprint or the new Windosor (with a tank) for CGD.

Confused ???

August 19 2007, 4:18 PM

Just to add a tad more confusion, I have an older model CMX-20

This is a slow speed (90rpm) compared to the one pictured (130rpm).

Both the RX/CMX & Rotovac machines must be used in conjunction with either a truck mount or portable machine to supply pressure & vacuum.

The exception being my slow machine which has it's own power module that allows me to take it in commercial/hi rise, etc; & use it in a similar manner to a Steamin Demon, ie; hook up to water, power & waste point.

In well over ten years, I have only ever used the power module a few times, she screams like a banshee

I have used it on direct stick/cgd with the only problems being un-level slab.

Green Glides have improved it out of sight.

I also have a soft brush and a drive board that allows me to use various pads under it if needed.

Cheers,

Shorty

I've seen the light, and changed my ways.
