Are You a 10% Carpet Cleaner w/ a Gorrila Appetite???

Carpet Cleaning 101. 85% of the soil is DRY, removed with a GOOD vacuum. You can never get the carpet 100% clean, so maybe 95% clean. So you are working on the 10% with whatever method you use. I feel a little sorry for you if you spent $80000.00 to work on that 10%. A Hoover Conquest (about $450) a Steamin Demon (about $2900) a Cimex (19" about $2900) and a CRB machine (about $1500) and you can tackle about anything Total.$7750.00 A nice new shiny van, (about $22000.00) Total $29750.00 Now I am not against Vortex or Aero Tech (and your going to have to buy something else to get to that 24th floor high rise or condo) I just figure I can spend or invest $50000.00 else where.

Lucky beggars

Ray, just as a comparison, I just checked the price of a Cimex and converted it to USDollars.

Sitting down?

4,564.91 USD

A half decent van is going to cost us about 30,000.00 USD

Steamin Demon are not available down under

Hoover Conquest ??? I use an old DC04 Dyson, 4 years old now as still going strong.

I strip it down occassionally and clean out the vanes inside the vortex/housing.

Chemicals, being shipped from the US to Brisbane and then another 1,100 miles north to Cairns are not cheap either.

But we manage to make a buck and buy a beer (or two).

Cheers,

Shorty.

I've seen the light, and changed my ways.

I thought about that same thing Ray. Seems like a waste to me so that's why I bought a Cimex and a CRB.(iCapsol). I also have two portys when I need to HWE. A certified Pile Lifter which I use on every CGD. Air movers and all the other do-dads. By the way I bought a Makita like you and shorty have for stairs and upholstery. Works great on stairs have not tried it on upholstery yet.
