Upholstery Again

Grant D

I saw the post below and decided to start a new thread. I also clean upholstery using a dry foam system and am using dry foam right now. I guess I thought the biggest advantage of this method was that it is marketed as "safe for all fabrics". Not sure if that's entirely due to the ph of the dry foam or other chemical makeup of it.

So i guess my question is if I switched to releasit instead of dry foam:
1) Does it clean better, and remove more stains?
2) Do you think it's safe for all or at least almost all fabrics? Rambo, are there any pieces that you won't use this method on?

Thanks much, I REALLY appreciate it.

ps: I'll be doing a lot more encap work in the near future so will probably start visiting this board more.

You can use Punch and/or Releasit on any water cleanable fabrics that will not bleed or shrink.  So as with ANY upholstery job you should pre-inspect for shrinkage, bleeding, crocking, fabric degradation, previous damage, etc....

Grant, I might test for crocking if I suspect that it might. But I have to admit I have not tested any piece of furniture in the last 3 years and I clean alot of it and now with Releasit DS only. I love that term "dry foam" To me that means that stuff they pack around equipment they ship to me, LOL.

Isn't "Dry Foam" the stuff I blow off the top of my ice cold beer before I drink it?
