Did the resty carpet CGD

Well, I did PART of it. Here's the deal; I have several different types of pads. some non-absorbent...others way....and the rest are in the middle.

I used a hot pre=spray mixed at the max...then some. I tried to NOT soak the pads...just wet. Clean, then go back over with dry pads to help...dry the carpet.

On one area, I used a synthetic pad I bought from Rick...holy crap! THAT is the cleanest area on the carpet. I went back over it several times with dry cotton pad(s).

But there are some streaks here and there. dirty streaks. It might be my method...but this carpet is the absolute dirtiest i have ever seen. I only had about 3 hours to work on it so I chose NOT to HWE. I still can...I have the rest of my life to work on this carpet since the owner could care less. I really wanted to see what could be done sans HWE. I went through about 30 pads in a 500' area and every one is d-i-r-t-y.

any thoughts wht I got streaks? Obviously, they were NOT visible during the clean. Only when the carpet was a bit more dry. But it is dirt....

Hard to say without seeing it, but I'd probably HWE with an good quality enzyme pre-spray along with a fiber rinse, post bonnet to dry as much as possible and then return the next day (when dry) and Cimex it with DS to take care of any wicking.

Yeah...that WAS the plan but the guy was very late. so, for giggles I just OP'ed it. I will HWE later this week...but I took advantage of the time to just use OP...bookoo pads. I'll see it tonight and in a day or so to evaluate the results.

I am sooo tempted to drop coin for a steamon demon.

Sounds like a job for HWE.

But I agree - sometimes it's fun to push the envelope under extreme conditions just to see how far you can push the system. It can be educational.

There's more

I washed my pads after the experience...they foamed up big time. I used a commercial washer laundry mat as (luckily) my washing machine went down over the week-end.

suds were going everywhere. Last night, the carpets were already getting dirty....again.

I am going to assume the owner used too much detergent every time he used his porty.

Rick, do you sell any of the "acids" used for wicking/browning and do you sell a defoamer?

We don't have a defoamer or an acid in our line - probably should add them though.

That one sounds like a candidate for HWE. It needs a serious flushing!
