Wow! Word travels fast down under.

Yes, we have been discussing the possibility of being a guest speaker at the Aussie Expo. I've been discussing this with John Turner. They're interested in having me speak about encapsulation at the event.

We're working out the details and it looks like the encapman is going to be heading down under. So I hope to see as many of you Aussies and New Zealanders as possible in Melbourne in April!

Hey where can I get ahold of one of those Aussie dictionaries?
Looks like I'm gonna be needing one

NOTE to self.....BUY MAP of DOWN UNDER :-)

Melbourne is the capitol of Victoria.

The Expo is on the Gold Coast.

The Gold Coast is 70 miles South of Brisbane.

Brisbane is the capitol of Queensland.

It is approximately 1,200 miles from Melbourne to Brisbane.

If you head north from Smelbourne that is.

This site may help you

Contrary to popular opinion, we DO drive on the right side of the road, which is left.

If you get lost, just ask & you'll be told where to go

Cheers,

Shorty.

PS::: Will this time frame clash with Connections in Florida??

Don't forget to visit Cairns & the Great Barrier Reef, just up the road another 1,300 miles north

I've seen the light, and changed my wicked ways.

Shorty,
Thanks for the geography lesson!
I'll have to hire you as my guide

The dates do not conflict with Connections in Florida,
thanks for thinking about that.

Charles,
Thanks LOL. I'll be sure to bring that along. Some good stuff in there. I could practically hear Shorty and Gary using some of those expressions. My pal Gary Bethel has a thick Australian accent. I love to hear him speak. I can understand about 90% of what he says. But I'm sure he thinks I talk like a dumb yank, so I don't tease him too much.

If you think Gary has a thick accent..........just wait till you meet some of the locals..lol

Rick I live on the Gold Coast now and if you make it over here next year I'm sure you enjoy what the region has to offer.

That Shorty bloke was not very helpful - sides he's just a trouble maker. You had better start learning the lingo Rick if you want to understand the locals. Here's an example:

English
The nightjar and bat were angry with a man. His name was PipijunkurruGelinas. That Pipijunkurru was the boss of the Cimexpeople. They didn’t go along angry from nearby. After they first heated (straightened) spears at Mt Encaprie, they heated them there at the top. There is a gap there still. After that (they) went north in the (Ashburton) river. The two of them were angry. That was the time of good men when the earth was soft. They went again to straighten a spear. In the river, where was that now? They straightened it there in the river north at JundaTampa.

Rick you need to chuck the idea of getting an Aussie dictionary into the drink and spend your effort on get’n a ride on an Aussie 18. Big brother, you need to work on your priorities man; you don’t go to the other side of the Earth where the greatest sailors in the world live and not do at least a little sailing – that would just be wrong. Give Ronstan a call; I’m sure they’ll hook you up with their corporate team.

Oh and by the way – be sure to bring me home a nice Suara

LOL

Yeah I'm sure Ronstan is going to invite me out on one of their corporate skiffs. I mean, when they learn that the encapman is in Oz they'll probably want to give me an Australian 18 for free! --- When pigs fly!

But seriously, it would be awesome to try to fit in some high performance sailing while I'm in the land of fast sailing. I'll have to see what I can do.
