Pricing

Joe DeSouza

Question about pricing - on Hot Water Extraction...If the norm is 10 cents / foot for encapsulation, what should I charge for commercial HWE/ Maybe double that? I need to redo a function hall for a church (read old post below) and was wondering what an avg per sqft price for commercial HWE is...

Thanks!

Joe

Usually commercial accounts are a cheaper than residential. not sure why though. Less furniture in the way?

I get the same price Encap or HWE, I average between .12-.15 with minimal furniture. If considerable time involved, addtional people, travel time etc. all go into the price equation. For .10 SF I would need alot of SF. before under pricing yourself figure your true overhead. I see alot of people under pricing themselves out of business, create value in your service, make sure your uniformed, clean vehicle, on time, clean equipment, socialable. I provide before and after pictures, offer 100SF demo FREE. I edited Ricks CD and provide copies for personal viewing if I don't get to get in front of the decision maker, all to create interest. I also mail to commercial prospects 12 times per year + X-mas cards. I have also been in an office lobby and took part of a nasty stain up from carpeting FREE, white towel and stain Ricks stain remover while I was waiting for my appointment. Do you think they are impressed when they call you and they see you removing a stain at no charge because it bothers you being there. Sorry for rambling.
