Alex

I am curious, cause i never hear anything about how often one applies soil-ease. I have a monthly scheduled maintenance on a low cut pile.

Wondering how long before the soilease need to be reapplied?

Are there certain things to look for ?

Carpet mills always say don't clean your carpet or you lose warranty. I rather have a clean carpet that out live warranty than a soiled carpet that out live warranty.

Thanks

Soileze, like any protectant, is a sacrificial coating as wears off over time. Many factors, especially traffic, affect how long it will last. I've never tested, but I can't see a protectant lasting more than 6 months in a commercial setting and maybe a year or so in residential. But that is only a guess.

As regards to carpet manufacturers, they actually make it mandatory that carpets get cleaned at least every 18 months in order to maintain the warranty.

What mills are recommending that you don't clean your carpet???

I've never heard of that. Proper maintenance is usually what is recommended by mills which includes vacuuming, matting and periodic cleaning.
