Talk about a money maker

September 7 2007, 10:08 PM

Wore my badge into the "centre".

Luckily, the place was closed to "dependants" today.

However, I tried something new that I had not tried before.

On all my upholstery jobs previously, I have used the normal pads.

Today I decided to use the soft bonnets because of this fabric.

What can I say.

W O W !!!!!

Man, these bonnets are the ducks guts, simply fangasmacorical, better than sliced bread, get the idea ?? they're great.

7 recliners in less than an hour and a half for a tad more than $315.00 + gst.

Now comes the good part.

One of the top honchos of the hospital was doing a walk through & stopped in with the lady that organised the work for me.

After inspecting the recliners that I had cleaned & a good discussion on the process, he has said that he will be getting me back in for more work, using the same system.

He was impressed with the clean, the dry, the low noise, and the lack of hoses and odor.

He was looking at my badge & then asked me about OCCD, so I told him about the carpet cleaning process with the Cimex, left him a brochure (the same one Rick supplies for commercial carpet cleaning, but with my details on), and my card with my web site.

I have to call him back during the week and organise a demo, today being Saturday.

All in all, a very good Saturday morning.

Got to send off an email now to Gary @ Powerclean Australia and order more bonnets

Cheers,

Shorty.

Great going Shorty- can you elaborate a little more what pad you used, and do you vacuum afterwards from a post a few days ago I don't think you do, I'm just trying to get a fix on the encap upholtery cleaning have been getting alot of upholstery lately and would like to cut the time without cutting the results and encap seems to be the way. Thanks and congradulations, on your being in the right place, right time, doing a professional job, when the right person walks through. Coooooooooool

Me Too.......

I prefer the 100% cotton bonnets when using the Makita 9227-C and Releasit DS. Talk about fast, just like Shorty posted about. If the furniture is nasty, I pre-spray with Encap Punch

Bonnets

September 8 2007, 7:32 PM

I think this is pretty much like I used, although I believe mine were made in Aussie.

You are correct, I do not vacuum after cleaning, Rick has another post regarding post vacuuming, ( nothing to do with vacuuming posts ).

A lot of the tricks I have learnt on low moisture cleaning, I owe to Rick & Rambo, (& a lot of others also).

Thanks guys, you're unbeatable.

Cheers,

Shorty.

I've seen the light, and changed my wicked ways.

Shorty, they are the same that I use and love. I think I mentioned them back a month or so ago on our Aussie board.

Someone.... sorry, can't remember who, mentioned about cutting them in half to get twice as many.

I actually need to get some more as I'm getting low due to loosing one or two.

I did a 'clean looking lounge suite out on a farm with them. Front looked nice but had a huge ugly grease line down the back from the farm dog. A bit extra DS and ran this over it and hey presto, it looked like new.

Cleaned a few hundred office chairs from a fire not long ago with great success and no residual odour either. (admittedly, I didn't blindly do all with that system as the worst ones got HWE'd)

You can also have a bucket of solution there and whip them off, immerse them and wring them out and away you go again with a clean pad... great for the gungey areas that need another go over.
