Rick you did not naswer one of my questions on upholstery so to back track. Is leaving the finished upholstery un vacuumed going to create a problem? Because if the technician doesn't post vacuum its very possiable the client won't and if they do most likely a sub standard job.

If post vacuuming is not performed, the encapsulated debris will come off during normal usage. In other words it will come off on their clothes, etc. This is not as big of a deal as it may seem, since the crystallized residue is microscopic. I am not of the opinion that you should plan a return trip to post vacuum (unless you planned on building that into the price). My advice would be to keep it simple. In most cases, in a commercial setting they want just 2 things, make it look good, and do it cheap. And do it quick (I guess that's 3 things).

Rick is right. I have only cleaned a few jobs with encap on upholstery but every customer was happy and I did not go back to vacuum.
