4807 brushes on Frieze

September 14 2007 at 11:30 AM
Derek

used my 4807 (soft) Cimex brushes on an all-cream colored Frieze yesterday to pre-scrub in my Encap, followed by extraction with my Challenger.

anyone else tried this?

i'm always leary of Frieze's with my OP, but i found this worked well. the 4807's were pretty gentle on the Frieze and stood the pile way up. i figure this is the best bet if you're nervous about OP'ing Frieze's. not much OP'ing neccesary after a Mex/encap pre-scrub.

thanx --- Derek.

That's a cool idea Derek.
I like your ingenuity.
Makes sense.

Derek, what pads did you use and did you use any type of glider?

i used 100% cotton pads.

for the 1st cotton pad i used a solid 6" glider. but i dislike using gliders as they take up alotta cleaning space on a pad. so i removed it after the 1st one and just used slightly wrung-out cotton pads.

then i ran a dry ThinOne over the entire carpet when i was done, followed by post-vac'ing.

thanx --- Derek.
