Old bonnets new application

Phil R

I was involved with auto detailing years ago...that lead to RV detailing...that is where i first started cleaning carpets. another story....

I still have my old Dewalt OP sander. It has hook and loop driver mounted on it. I would hook up "buffing" pads for waxing etc. anyway:

This is my stair tool. I buy the white scrubbies (I am also a window cleaner) from a janitor supply store and cut them into circle (kind of ). I use the scrubbies for the first run...to break loose the dirt. They stick really well to the hook portion of the hook and loop.

This is when I use whatever stain remover product I need...

Today, I found out I can use my old worn out bonnets for the dry run...or for the first damp run. yeah...they are about 40K times too big for the driver BUT (here's the tip girls)since I am using a OP instead of a rotary sander/buffer, the bonnets can be held (You'll see how if you try it) in place with one hand while the other hand runs the machine. Then, simply move the machine around just a bit to get to a new/clean portion of the bonnet.

so, I get about 8 little dirty circles rather than one big one. Flip it over...off ya go.

I just did the carpets and stairs on an RV and my Vento barely fits through the door. I did the main room...but the bedroom is too small for anything other than a hand held unit.

They look brand new.

Voila' Can I have a button?
