Is a Cimex profitable?

My opinion is "YES"! Did one of our favorite accounts today; 17,000 sq. ft. in 6 hours. Lovin the Mex baby.

Is the Pope Catholic? Does Billy Graham have a quite time? Is Shorty upside down? (at least he is when I look at the map)There is no piece of equipment that makes us more money than the Cimex. If you factor in the original cost plus the length of service and speed in which you clean, I would feel comfortable in saying that one 19" Cimex could generate a quater of a million dollars in revenue in a four year span and still be running strong. Quite a feat for a big ugly yellow and blue machine. By the way I have become quite attached to mine.

To add to Ray's math...

We have a special price on the Cimex package right now for $2700.

The package includes the 19" Cimex, Pad Drivers, 15 Fiberplus pads, 4 gallons of Releasit Encap-Clean DS, a Free CMS Marketing Program, and Free Shipping to a commercial address.

That may sound like a lot of stuff for a low price. But when you take a closer look at one of the items in the package (the Free case of Encap-Clean DS), the price of the machine disappears completely. A case of Encap-Clean DS is enough detergent to clean 39,600 sq ft of carpet. Now if you were cleaning at a moderately low rate of 10 cents a sq ft, you would be able to generate $3,960 with the free case of detergent that came with your $2700 Cimex package. That means the machine cost is covered and an additional $1260 profit would be generated. That is some pretty cool math

Rick that's a great price

same deal here sets us back over US$5000 and even at that price it's still the best, most profitable equipment I have bought.

That's a hard one

September 23 2007, 1:53 AM

I got a phone call late on Thursday to do a demo in a unit early Friday morning.

I was on site at 07:00, met the contract cleaner that was doing the initial clean, also the building super;

I didn't do a demo, but gave the builder a verbal quote.

He rang me back two hours later telling me to come in urgently if I could.

Got down there and he gave me the go ahead to clean 35 x 2 bedroom units.

I completed them today, Sunday.

All were vacuumed, some were spot cleaned with Big Yella, most were cleaned with Big Yella.

Building was on three levels with four separate stair wells, plus a flight of stairs from the car park.

Total time to complete, 13 Hours

Total amount $2,057.00

You do the maths, is Cimex a money maker, or what.

Less than 3 litres of Releasit.

No noise.

No hoses up & down the stair wells.

No wasted water.

No waste water.

No fumes.

No gas.

BUT, I did replace the pads for the last five units

Cheers,

Shorty.

I've seen the light, and changed my wicked ways.

One man show

September 23 2007, 11:30 AM

As a one man show the Cimex has allowed me to go after larger scale commercial accounts and make it profitable due to the SF cleaning per hour, easy set up and great results. I'm from the old school and scoffed at encapsulation and Cimex before, good thing I listened to those on the board doing it. Just proves you need an open mind. Thanks all.

I've NEVER made more money per hour on commercial carpet than with the Cimex.

I've compared it side by side with a rotary, a CRB and the Cimex...it really wasn't even a close competition...the Cimex cleans MUCH better and Much faster. In fact, when I re-cleaned the areas I cleaned with the Icapsol CRB, the Cimex made the Icapsol look like a toy.

Anyone who is a one man show...don't get toys...get real tools.
