| I am really getting into this whole carpet cleaning thing, come to find out its about 200% less work than VCT,who would ever had imagined that. I have done a few trashed out carpets that turned out great,I really could'nt belive they turned out as good as they did,but I think I need a portable extractor for the really trashed or high soil loaded carpets,(seems to be all I can get)so I need to know whats the BEST portable on the market, and whats the best value for your money? I have never used a portable so I have know idea, whats what all I know is I don't want to have to buy a new piece of crap, and then have to go buy a good one. Thanks to all that reply. Scott

I own an old Mytee Speedster. It is 100 PSI (not really enough for tile) and has no heat. But I bought an external heater that I hardly ever use.
Since I pre-scrub with OP heat is less of an issue.
If I had it to do over, I'd get the Steamon demon from Rick. I have nothing to sell so no dog in the fight. trashed carpets that need flushing...need flushing. Not good rinsing. The SD powers out tons of water and picks it back up ....fast.
Next to that, any decent porty would work well enough.
i will share this: The difference when flushing is even better. |

I have a castex trooper 15 gal, which I paid $600 for used off of ebay, works great! Done commercial & high rise condos with it, it fits the bill perfectly. If you want to save some $$, buy one used, especially if youre just starting out - dont go crazy buying a bunch of new equipment (exception, maybe a cimex, because they are hard to come by used!)

Get a Steamin Demon. The versatility will amaze you. Flushing, Water Damage, Upholstery and stairs all w/auto fill and auto dump, and very powerful, not to mention it only weighs 35 lbs.

how much do you want or have to invest in a machine???
Steamin demons can be found used and since not much can be wrong with them (maybe a vac motor or a bilge pump)they can be had for under 1k.
if you have a few thousand to spend, look at the steamway 900, it's also auto fill and dump!!!

That Steamway 900 looks very much like a Kleenrite (spelling).
I wonder if it is with the Steamway name and price. |

We can get you any KLEENRITE extractor or any Windsor extractor, as well as the Steamin Demon's.
The Steamin Demon is impressive with its High-Flow extraction = plenty of rinse-ability! The Kleenrite's are cool because they can be configured ANY WAY you want them = they can be configured to be a very powerful performer! And with all the equipment we sell--- we always provide an excellent price, as well as a 10 day trial/return policy where you can send the machine back for a refund if it doesn't meet your needs. All of these machines are excellent, and any of these product lines would be a great choice for an extractor.

Scott, looks like we're in the same boat. I too almost have to, for the same reasons, get some type of portable extractor. Been looking around for about a month but have'nt pulled the trigger on anything yet, because the steamon demin looks really impressive, I just can't lay out the $$$$ at the moment (Rick, when do last years models go on sale, just hoping). Just bought my cimex about a month ago and love it by the way. I can see how how (in my near future hopefully) with 1,2,or 3 of those, throw in a stemon demon, and you could knock out some serious sqft of commercial carpet. These guys are great, world of knowlege here for free. Best of Luck Scott
By the way, if anyone has a used demon they want to get sell, please let me know (want a new one under the xmas treee this year, my wife thinks I'm nuts)
